At Little Diamond, our jungle home embodies sustainable, eco-living. Nestled on the east coast of Barbados, we connect guests with the island's natural beauty while minimizing environmental impact. Our retreat blends seamlessly with the lush surroundings, featuring open spaces that invite fresh air and natural light, allowing guests to feel immersed in nature. Guests can also enjoy picking fresh fruit from our gardens, adding to the experience of reconnecting with the earth.
METERIALS & DESIGN
Little Diamond is built with sustainability at its core, using cafefully sourced materials like greenheart, one of the world's strongest woods, to reflect its environment and reduce the carbon footprint. We use natural, long-lasting materials that align with our eco-friendly vision. The open-plan layout promotes energy efficiency, using natural ventilation and sunlight to minimize the need for artificial cooling or lighting. The verandas, designed for sunbathing and shaded relaxation, help maximize comfort while keeping energy use low.
MADE BY HAND
We built our entire jungle home by hand, limiting the need for modern machinery and significantly reducing our environmental impact. By recycling materials, upcycling, and sourcing our own materials from our property, we ensured that our construction process was as eco-friendly as possible. This hands-on approach not only allowed us to be mindful of the resources used but also created a deeper connection to the land and its natural offerings.

We grow a wide variety of fruit trees, from passionfruits, breadfruits, and limes to bananas and sour sop, ensuring there is almost always something fresh and delicious to enjoy straight from the garden of our home. A Call to Preserve Our Island
Over the past 30 years, tourism has taken a significant toll on Barbados, leading to the loss of much of our stunning natural jungle coastlines, particularly along the south and west coasts. Coral reefs have also been severely impacted, with damage caused by large hotels, fishing boats, and increased tourist activity. At Little Diamond, we have set out on a mission to raise awareness for the remaining untouched parts of Barbados, giving the community a voice to speak out against harmful development.
