The story of our jungle home.
Growing up, our family was deeply connected to both Barbados and Cornwall in the UK.
Each year, we would travel back and forth, cherishing our time on the island. Our childhoods were filled with memories of exploring the lush jungle, picking fresh fruit, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant local culture. In 2005, our parents decided to build a home on our Barbadian jungle land, dreaming of a permanent haven in this paradise. Although financial constraints left the house unfinished, our father’s craftsmanship and choice of greenheart wood ensured that the frame remained solid.
We lived in Barbados for nearly two years, embracing the island life and the natural beauty surrounding us. We spent our days hiking jungle trails, discovering hidden gems, and enjoying the serene environment. However, financial realities brought us back to the UK.
2005
Fast forward seven years, and as adults, we returned to Barbados, only to find our beloved home in a state of neglect. Despite its condition, we saw immense potential. Driven by nostalgia and a vision for the future, we dedicated five years to restoring and transforming the house. Today, it stands as a beautiful, and thriving holiday home, a testament to our perseverance and love for this land. Nestled on the exquisite east coast of Barbados, it offers a unique blend of adventure and relaxation.
